Mike McGrath - Party Before Justice

September 11th, 2008 by Wiley Cody

New West, who asked the first questions on this story, has followed up with some quotes from our Attorney General Mike McGrath - who also happens to be a Lawyer (you can hear a bunch of Lawyers laughing and clapping as Schweitzer brags about his actions in the audio - I wonder if McGrath was in that audience). Here’s what McGrath has to say:

The misuse of the criminal justice system for political purposes is a serious matter. It is inappropriate to use a public office as election-season PR for a political blogger or any other special interest.

Ooooh baby. I’m seeing red. Does anyone think for a second that his indignation is about anything other than the fact that Schweitzer has a D behind his name?

Incidentally, this is exactly what the criminal justice systme should be used for; ensuring that elected officials don’t hold themselves above the law.

Go donate to Tim Fox right now. We need to break up this gang of Democrats and their Culture of Corruption. This is beyond the pale.

Thanks Matt Singer for calling me stupid. You’re not the first liberal to do so.

I am aware that McGrath isn’t running against Fox. But Fox is running to be his replacement and this demonstrates exactly how much we need to break up the Democrat’s block of non-accountability.

If you all want to donate to Ron Waterman to get McGrath out for good, I’m cool with that too! http://www.waterman4justice.com/

And the cogs of the Democrat’s machine begin to show… I bet there are a lot of unflattering words being uttered under breath and behind closed doors about our Governor in Dem circles tonight… The party is over folks. Time to pay the piper.

Should we also go donate to Linda McCulloch? Brad Johnson is also using his office to promote his political party. Do you think Brad Johnson would have used his office inappropriately if Brian Schweitzer didn’t have the wrong letter after his last name?

How has Brad Johnson used his office inappropriately, Jenny, please provide an example.

Then go ahead and tell us how Brad Johnson humiliated his state the way the Bloviator has.

Brad Johnson has kept a Democrat on the ballot when Repubs wanted him off (HD84), kept Ron Paul on the ballot when Repubs wanted him off, and he’s supposed to be “partisan” for referring this complaint? Nice try. This is a Republican who’s almost too non-partisan. He’s even got a democrat running his elections department!

Random thought here, but was McGrath at the Trial Lawyer convention? He is, or at least before he became AG was, a member of the association.

McGrath is a douchebag. A really, really, unscrupulous douchebag.

But unfortunately, his actions here may be pretty appropriate. Despite your noise machine, there doesn’t seem to be much “there” there.

Have I mentioned that I hate him?

Hah! Seeing a Montana GOP flack try to hand down the “culture of corruption” moniker is hilarious. McGrath’s indignation likely comes from the fact that he’s a busy man, in a busy office, and doesn’t have time to chase evidence-free accusations from wild-eyed and desperate Republicans who can’t comprehend a joke.

[…] not really a victim though.  He made his own bed with this amazingly premature decision that made his political calculus obvious.  And to make matters worse, remember this story […]

Lamnida, as they say power corrupts, and while you’re liberal you’re not stupid. You know BS crossed a line and you’re hoping he doesn’t pay a Burnsesque price for it.

Steve, not much there? Admissions of activities? In light of him saying he did things I think it is now his job to prove he didn’t. This isn’t a court of law - it’s a court of public opinion.

KICK MCGRATH OUT!

[…] don’t miss this astute observation - one that Roy Brown has been making for almost as long as I have. All the same, we feel the AG’s office should probably take some time to look into this. Doing […]

I know there is a lot of warm, fuzzy feelings in this blog for our beloved Mike McGrath, but I must rain on your parade.

I might point out that there is a great website showing who Mike McGrath really is. Some of the names that come to mind for him might be too offensive even for Butte prostitute. Take a look:

http://www.FairnessNotPolitics.org

You might be as suprised as I was to learn what is contained there and how McGrath has been abusing his powers for years (and not just with the Butte prostitutes).
